As someone who knows very little about Captain Atom, and has certainly never read any of his comic books, perhaps you can answer a question or four about him for me: Is he naked? Is that silver (now gold) outfit his skin? Can he transform himself into a guy who doesn’t look like a walking San Onofre?
Does Captain Atom have genitals?

That silver/gold shell is his skin, so he is more or less naked. I assume he has all the “necessary equipment” as he was having a relationship with Maxima at one point, a woman known for her…powerful emotions.

At the time the silver skin covering was a covering, so his genitals would be under the silver skin cover.
Dear God, save me from knowing that.
