A recent issue of Firestorn ended with the caption "Next month: A Millenium crossover! (just kidding)" The next issue was an Omac crossover. Hmm...

And I would like to take this time to give a shoutout to the old school Outsiders. They rocked my childhood.

While Inifinite Crisis, aka "Crisis II", certainly owes a lot to the beast that started it all, it also has some very strong echoes of basically every major crossover "Event" that DC has done since. (I half expect someone to gain new powers by being bitten on the neck by a Thangarian.)

Whether this is a subtle homage to what has come before, an explicit plot point showing that the world has been "not right" since COIE, or an obvious lack of creative ability on behalf of the new guard at DC pretty much depends on your pre-determined opinion of crossovers in general.
