It's been a while since I read it, but doesn't one of the early issues of AZTEK (#1 or #2?) describe a whole wing of the Vanity hospital dedicated to superhuman medical issues, with special attention to cases of people who've been frozen?

Another example you might want to consider is that of Elijah Snow, lead character in the Warren Ellis/John Cassady series PLANETARY. Snow has cryogenic powers, and Ellis comes up with rather more inventive uses of same, particularly in non-lethal ways of disabling or seriously injuring human opponents.

Firebirds was publlished by Image comics about a year ago. It dealt with a female superhero (the eponymous Firebird) whose somewhat estranged teenage daughter also begins to develop similar fire-based powers.

I know Firebird has also shown up in a few issues of Noble Causes (she was one of the superheroes sent to the remote planet to rescue the soldiers) and I think in a crowd scene in Invincible.
