One more poker glitch to add to Lee Daniel Crocker's and peter's:

When the waiter first approaches Cuddy to tell her of the case, Wilson has just raised, and Cuddy says, "I call!" After telling the waiter to tell the parents to "take two aspirin and call me in the morning", so to speak, ;) , she then announces, "All in!".

Can't do that. She had already made her bet, by calling. She can't make another bet after the waiter leaves. The technical name for this is "string bet" (betting twice on one turn to bet), and it's prohibited, because it gives you an unfair read on the other players' reactions to your first bet.

House folded his AA (to go take the case), so when Cuddy called Wilson's bet, that round of betting was over.

Has anybody noticed the huge mistake that Esther changes sex during this episode? They address him as a "he" until Chase decides to call her a "her" then the old man becomes and old lady.

One thing - besides dismissing a kid's blood soaked trousers as bloody diarrhea, since when is sudden ataxia brought on by a simple case of tummy ache and mild dehydration. Unless he's eaten puffer fish, dropped some acid, or walking through the Sahara with no water, his eyes shouldn't be bouncing around with nystagmus or having trouble with coordination as when House examines him. But Chase, after seeing ataxia on the board, says "This is all because a child has some blood in his diarrhea."

Another minor mistake when it comes to poker, was dealing the turn (or river, I don't remember) card without burning one.
(Wonder if actually anyone noticed).

As to the points mentioned by Lee Daniel Crocker, they are all true, but then again, there wouldn't be anything interesting in a poker tournament in this show.

One small point, a few people have mentioned that the patient was 'without oxygen' for 8 minutes, but that's not the case. I know we only saw the defibrillation bits, but if it was an eight minute arrest, I'm assuming that someone was doing CPR and since we was intubated and ventilated, he was getting oxygenated.

I've run arrests on people with arterial lines, and if you push hard you can get systolics of around 90.

Of course, you'd get nothing on a soft bed - it's amazing how many people in TV land do CPR on a nice soft bed. Put your kid on a bed and push on their chest. It's fun. They bounce up and down, but it's not CPR. In reality land we have hard boards that we put under the patients so that you've got something to push against.

Treatment for ECD is far from any consensus. In my uncle's case, the patient were given 300U of interferon alpha thrice weekly for 3 months. She showed some remission but I didn't believe she was cured. And yes, in no way would ECD recover that fast as in the show.
