Also, about the Young Guns doing clinic hours, there was at least one other episode in which Foreman was treating a patient (Cindy) wearing a coat with House's name on it, which caused her to believe Foreman was House. The last scene where House is supposed to go in and apologise to her (when she had never met him) to prove a point to Cameron led to one of the best bits of dialogue of House ever.

Hi
I interpreted the bone-marrow transplant as a story concoted by House to cajole his friend into running tests to see if Leona and him were compatible (and from these tests they could obtain a sample to do a DNA paternity test) even if medically the bone-marrow transplant diagnosis made no sense (I wouldn't know, I'm not a doctor). Am I reading too much into this?

I'll accept that the doctors can perform every test and are experts in every field of medicine. But in 2011, we're into the show's 8th season. I'm at the end of season 2 and I would like to see more accurate medicine. It will enrich the drama more.

But then again, perhaps House should direct people to this blog where people can play 'find the bad medicine'.

..more medical words I needed to look up.
cardiogenic - originating in the heart
cryoablation - destroy/remove tissue with extreme cold
angiogram - using dye and x-rays to photograph blood and lymph vessels

He lied about the test so that she would have someone watching over her. House qualified Crandall for parenthood in the previous scene:

House: What makes you think you’d be a good father?

Crandall: I don’t know. Feels right. It feels good.

House: Well, at least you’ve got a good reason.

My question relates to House's rant:

<i>"Natural selection sucks.. They did autopsies on married couples and found correlations in pancreas size. We’re hardwired to pick for stupid reasons"</i>

How is the pancreas correlation a bad thing, like House implies?

Also, can a spot in the heart really produce a hallucination? By what mechanism?

Sorry if this is a stupid question/comment but did House tell the girl that Dylan was her father? And the certificate at the end said he wasn't, right? So why did he tell her that he was her father??

"but like so many other House episodes hemochromatosis would have been spotted as soon as they did a routine blood count (which nearly every patient gets when they come into hospital)"

Actually, no. Most hospitalized patients receive a CBC and CMP and neither transferrin saturation nor ferritin are part of those panels. The CMP does have liver enzyme tests, though. I have HH and *I* had to request the iron panel when my liver enzymes came back high.

SQUID is a newer method of determining how much iron has collected in your organs. Non-invasive. EVERYONE is at risk of Acquired Iron Overload. Most of us get 100% of our iron just by eating our cereal. As little as 1/2 cup can have our daily allowance of iron. Also all flours and breads are iron fortified. Excess iron is POISON to your system. Check out
ironoverload.org for great information and be pro-active with your health!

Why let they play a 16-year old by a 32-year old?
And is House suggesting in the 'Chicken Mole' scene with Wilson that he had a 'conversation' with the girls mother and that he himself could be the father, or is that just my dirty mind?
