So to my teen self, seeing characters getting bloody noses when using or being subjected to mental powers didn't raise any red flags? The brain is really close to the nose, therefore, psychic brain strain can cause nosebleeds! If it's REALLY bad, bleeding ears may also result! Increased brain pressure... must.. be released... or head will... EXPOLODE! Ah, but for teen logic!?
