Heroes

I enjoyed the show, but the comic book afficionado in me needs to point out that it was X-Men #141 and Uncanny X-Men #142 that featured Kitty Pryde and time travel, not #143 (that was the “demon chasing Kitty through the mansion” holiday issue)

  1. Ah! Fond memories of the X-Men when they were coherent and easy to follow.

  2. Okay – Heroes was great!!

But is it me or were there two many coincidences around the cab – Hey I used to work in NYC – it is hard enough to get a cab let alone have two of the main characters and the major villian (?) meet in one!!!

And about that villian – is it me or does he look like a certain bear hating comentator on Comedy central?

Oh – and how freaking disgusting was the hand in the food disposal scene!!!
    I think I’m hooked!

  3. Hey, just because Hiro is a big otaku, doesn’t mean he’s always going to be right in his geek references. After all, he did mention that he was last in his class at school.

And maybe Mohinder’s special power is serendipity. If he was Sri Lankan, it would be really funny.

  4. Um, is it bad form to point out that in your correction of the episode, you mistakenly mislabelled Uncanny #143 as Uncanny #141? Hmm, probably.

I liked it quite a bit. And to answer the coincidences in the cabs question – yeah, they were pretty co-incidental. I’m sure that one of them wasn’t a coincidence at all (being that the villain probably had Mohinder under surveillance and knew what he was doing). The other one, though – well, I’m wondering if Mohinder is supposed to have some kind of uncanny luck, or if it just happened for plot reasons – time will tell, I suppose.

(Shows like this always irritate me a bit, just because I wonder if things that in other shows would clearly be coincidence or just bad writing aren’t actually supposed to be plot points. A minor irritant, but it happens.)

  5. Well, maybe Mohinder’s power is that he might be subconsciously attracted to people with powers.
