I’m Home!

Greetings everyone! I’m very happy to be back home from the hospital.

First off, I’d like to say thanks for all of the get well comments, e-mails, and thoughts. My wife and I truly appreciate them.

As for me, it looks like little permanent damage was done (except to my ego, which took a pretty solid hit). The cardiologist says that I can be back to full activity, including jogging and biking, in a month. In the meantime, I’ll just have to relax and catch up on reading, television, and a few other projects that have been stacking up.

Once again, thanks for all the kind thoughts and it’s good to be back!

  1. It’s great to have you back, Scott! It’s good to know that you’re going to be ok, now here’s wishing you a much-deserved relaxing time.

  2. You haven’t answered the question on everyone’s mind though…did they think it was lupus?

Even scarier, did you have to use the MRI of DOOOOOM (trademark those Housies on TWOP)?

  3. the doctors DID give you a large bandage around your body over your clothes, right? And you were hooked up to the red IV?

Glad to see you’re back! =D

  4. Welcome back! So very glad to hear you’re doin’ better. Here’s hoping you got more of a Cameron than a House (or a speed!Wilson).

  5. Whew! Welcome back! I can go back to lurking now.

  6. Welcome back! Rest up and read some good comics.

  7. Welcome back home! Glad to hear you’re doing well!

  8. YEAH!!! Good news!! Good to have you back. Fingers crossed for an uneventful and quick recovery.

  9. Hey Scott:

Glad to hear the situation isn’t as bad as it couild have been. I’m sure you’ll be back up to full speed in no time. But do take it easy as much as you can. You know you’ll never get another “golden oppertunity” like this, to have your wife at your beck and call again. ;)

Heidi and I hope to see you guys again. Maybe at next years Emerald City Comicon. :)

  10. Back just in time for House. Hope you got some fun medication so you can play House, in the same style of those “take a shot when…” games people do. Just keep it out of the office

  11. Welcome back Scott! I’m glad you’re OK. And just in time to review tonight’s House!

  12. Good to have you back – and thankfully, there were no unnecessary surgeries and that it wasn’t neoplastic whatever. (It’s the other alternative to “lupus”…I should bone up on my medspeak while I read my psychobabble)

  13. Nice to hear you’re on your way to recovery. Just take it easy now!

  14. Yay! Glad to “see” you back. Egos eventually recover, so take care of that heart.

  15. Glad to know you’re okay! Enjoy the rest!

  16. So glad you are ok…you didn’t happen to see any limping, pill-popping, unshaven docs, did you?

Hope you get plenty of TLC and rest!

  17. Yay!

Okay, when do we see the blog post criticizing what the Docs did wrong?

  18. I’m glad to see you back so soon, and looking forward to reading about the failure of your doctor and hospital to meet the standards of comic book medicine (this I assume from you being alive and all).

  19. Glad to hear you are doing better.

  20. I’m looking forward to hearing the story, animated or not.

  21. Egos heal too. Give it time.

    Welcome home!

  22. It’s good to have you back.

  23. Welcome back.

Did you have one of those “Now that I’ve been a patient” experiences so many doctors write about?

  24. All the doctors were very good. My cardiologist was aggressive when he needed to be, but not too aggressive. The nursing staff was great as well.

  25. Glad to hear you’re well again, and well on your way to full recovery. Best wishes!

  26. Glad to have you back. Have a good rest!

  27. It’s good to see you back so soon and on the road to recovery! Be sure to follow your strict regimen of comic books, television, and reading. There’s no telling what would happen if you deviate!

  28. Scott! Glad you’re feeling better, my good man. In the future if you have any heart issues, I recommend a comic book approach: pound your chest and yell through gritted teeth, “I’m the boss! Beat, damn you! BEAT!!!”

Or you could call 911, whichever works for you.

Glad you’re on the mend, friend!

  29. Glad to hear you are back home! Enjoy the rest while you can.

  30. Scott, don’t scare us like that. Hope you’re all better now.
Please take good care of yourself and continue your good work on this site.

  31. Glad to see you back!

  32. It had been a few days since I was last here, so I was shocked and pleased by what I saw upon stopping by today: shocked about your hospitalization, and pleased by your return. Best wishes with your recovery, and glad to have you back.

  33. Yay, glad you’re back!

  34. Welcome back, dude. I was half-expecting you to post pictures from your room and having one of those what’s-wrong-with-this-picture deals (wrong-colored IVs, handles pointing the wrong way, etc.)

  35. Please take care of yourself, your web site is a treasure.

  36. Welcome back!

  37. Welcome back, Doctor. I trust you didn’t let draw you incorrectly in the hospital!

  38. Hey stopped by and was happy to see you are on the mend. Keep getting better.

And sorry about that ego thing
