I can’t tell the age of the doctor but is five corpses a shocking number to rack up in a surgeon’s career?
Stripping their flesh during the autopsy, that’s something to rise from the dead about.

I think they’re supposed to be patients who died because he was a BAD surgeon, not just patients who died in the course of a normal medical career. They also call him a fake, and that could imply he was imposter doctor doing some scam.

I used to love this sort of comic when I was a kid – they scared me back then.
