"Plasma" is indeed the answer I was looking for.
I also wondered exactly what Superman was doing looking at engine parts while people were bleeding. I would also think that anytime blood products are needed on a battlefield it is "stat" by definition. And I would recommend that Mme. Marie actually look at the prisoners she's guarding, might work a little better.
Finally, kudos to Ratbat for the psychic pregnancy test call.

Is it that Superman's left hand is holding an object in a position implying a massive erection from Black Queen?

...or plasma. Yeah, probably the plasma.

actully, aaron, its kind of nice to see a female wearing armour that dosent have big boobs. :D it compresses them into a 'boob-shelf' you see- even if the comic book girl normally would have boobs big as her head- and presents a more androgenous profile.
Girls portrayed with full size boob-bumps in their breastplates are done by people that have obviously never worn armour. *Head-desk*

Superman: "...Hmm... Shiny..."

Gordon: since we can't see what's going on, we have no way of knowing if the comments about plasma and bleeding are about the same patient.

Harvey: if not 'The Castle', what should their headquarters be called? The Board?

Its not medical, but could it be that Castle isn't a chess piece? Or rather, it is a stupid name that is pushing the chess motif too far.

So says Chuck N. Passant!

Without looking at the hints, I'm gonna guess that you REALLY shouldn't be that close when a VTOL craft is taking off or landing.

Based on what I know about comic book anatomy those aren't really women, their chestal regions are not big enough.

Also they seem to be relying on the presence of Superman to be medically reassuring when he isn't really doing anything to intervene medically and probably shouldn't

I would say "plasma", but shouldn't they also stop the bleeding first?
