Your Weekend Moment of Psychic Nosebleed Zen: Smallville
Filed under: Comics, Medicine, TV

In the recent episode “Bloodlines”, Chloe uses her Braniac-ish abilities to access the Kryptonian crystal in an attempt to bring Clark back from the phantom zone. Messy Kleenex is the result.
And no, I can’t explain the all-white eyes that follow the nosebleed. That’s more than I can understand, let alone attempt to explain away.

All-white eyes. Explainable. Sort of.
We’ve previously seen people infected by TV Brainiac get black-on-black eyes, which would imply that the black nanoparticle goo that comprises Brainiac gets into the host’s tear ducts (for reasons I can’t quite fathom).
The particles are normally black because they power themselves from ambient light, but in this case the energy input from the Kryptonian crystal was so intense that the nanoparticles overloaded and emitted the excess energy as white light. Which probably hurts.

Like the whiteness of precogs eyes in Heroes (Isaac Mendez, Peter etc).
