  1. This may be the first time anyone’s ever said this, hooray for Guillain-Barre!

  2. I remain confident of winning the coveted bottom position by season’s end. I’ve had a look at the original predictions by the five others who still share the zero-point sweet spot with me, and they’re all boringly plausible. I’m frankly amazed that Tammy’s chronic lymphocytic leukemia caused by Agent Orange hasn’t shown up yet, for example. But I’m confident the only way the Spon Plague or the Dreaded Lurgi will appear on House is if Stephen Fry shows up for a guest spot, and what are the chances of that?

  3. I’m back to my normal zero-points routine…last week really ruined my campaign to beat Eric. :-)

  4. Finally a good House episode, AND finally some points ;)
    Indeed yay for Guillan-Barré.
    Corien 5 - 1 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 0 – 1 – 0 – 6 >> 13

  5. “Heavy metal poisoning” is the gift that keeps on giving. It is Season 5’s Lupus and Vasculitis.

  6. Eric TF Bat, I resent that. My predictions are absolutely ridiculous and you know it.

  7. Huh. When you didn’t even talk about the ‘medicine’ in the fake case I thought it wouldn’t end up counting, but it looks like it did. Glad to have the points, though…

  8. I figured it was only fair to treat it as a clinic patient in terms of scoring; after all, Taub and Kutner were trying to come up with legitimate diagnoses. It’s not (entirely) their fault it was a fake patient.

  9. So are we getting points for being more specific than the show? I got six points this week, I’m assuming for Gerstmann-Sträussler-Scheinker (a prion disease) and Cadmium poisoning (heavy metal poisoning).

Hooray for getting on the board!

  10. 1 for Prion disease (you listed two), and 5 for Heavy Metal Poisoning (which Cadmium counts as) since they treated it (though incorrectly for cadmium as chelation is not recommended).
