Monday PSA: Superboy says ‘Share with Others’
Filed under: Comics

As Superboy points out, winter is here (at least in the northern hemisphere), and so everyone’s thoughts turn to shoelaces. Well, that’s what Superboy suggests anyway — read the full PSA to discover why.
This PSA appeared in various DC comics in January 1952 including Action Comics #168, World’s Finest #56, and Wonder Woman #51. The script is by PSA-meister Jack Schiff, with art by the prolific Win Mortimer.

I don’t know if they still do shoelaces, but I know they run coat drives at most workplaces here in Camden, NJ. It’s primarily domestic, not overseas, but still very important. I know I found I had a number of coats I hadn’t used in ages. And, of course, spare clothing can always be donated in any one of a number of thrift shops and charity services. I usually wind up with Goodwill because it’s convenient, but I know people who go with Salvation Army. There are also charities (I want to say that there’s one called Confederated Charities that my Mom uses) that directly take the clothing and redistribute it to the poor. My mother recently cleared out a good bit of the basement of old winter clothes we’d outgrown or replaced.
