I want to say that the comics have also made it clear that Batman knows that one of the things the Robins do for him is keep him from going quite so crazy, grounding him. Which, of course, is the reason that he tries to systematically wall them out whenever he really wants to go crazy like in the "Bruce Wayne: {Murderer?, Fugitive}" stories.

I'm no great fan of Robin's, but I won't start wishing violence upon his fictitious behind until the current film franchise finds some convoluted way to include him.

Keith: You do have a good point. Robin is really an artifact of an older characterization of Batman.

Not that it matters anymore, what with Batman being dead, but.

---Does anyone except me feel that Robin the Boy Wonder is the worst. comic. book. character…ever?---

Robin is a great sidekick. Bat-Man dresses in dark colors and Robin dresses like a traffic light. Red, green and yellow is going to attract some unwanted attention.

While the criminals are blasting away at multi colored Robin, Bat-Man is relatively safe.

If Robin is killed, he can just replace him with another orphan. I think that the Wayne Foundation has some influence over Child Protective Services.

Besides Robin has been around as long as Bat-Man, almost. Detective 27 vs. Detective 38. They have been partners for some time. Dr. Wertham had something to say about that, but I digress. lol

Does anyone except me feel that Robin the Boy Wonder is the worst. comic. book. character...ever?

I suppose he was all right when Batman wasn't a raving ninja psycho, but now how can anyone imagine 'The Batman' rushing into battle with a 12 year-old by his side?
Oh yeah, the Boy Wonder would be a big help against Bane! Maybe Bane would slip on his blood!
