There have been so many goblins of one sort or another in Spider-Man’s rogues gallery — The Green Goblin(s), Hobgoblin, Menace, etc — it gets hard to tell them apart sometimes. But not today! Which two Hobgoblins are identical?

2 and 4… But the better question is, did a childhood accident drive 3 to a life of crime so he could acquire a replacement thumb?

The real lesson here is the importance of reading. As soon as I spied the problem with number 1, I came in to gloat and post something without realising it was which two are identical rather than which one is different.

Oh my gosh… I can’t believe I missed the thumb thing. I picked 2 and 4 as identical by noticing that 3 was missing the super-pointy tooth… how did I notice that and not a missing thumb?!
