Last time we had swine flu in the news in the USA (1976), the vaccine killed hundreds of people and the flu itself killed one.
This will be like SARS and Bird Flu and the other panics — I won’t pay attention, and I’ll be better off for it.

Gaaaaah. Every time I see an old comic or cartoon with someone playfully getting up to hijinks with an old-school fluoroscope, it makes me twitch.
Of course, characters like Bugs are regularly incinerated, crushed, folded, spindled, and mutilated, with no lasting effects. Thinking, “Auuugh! They have no idea how much radiation they’re getting screwing around like that!” is ABSURD.
But I still twitch.
