    I knew a guy in art school who was so desperate to have side burns (which he couldn’t grow) that he would have So worn these!

    ^_^ Reminds me of the running gag in CRFH!!!! of “Instant Chest Hair”. Initially, it’s a set of caterpillars. Later, Chester, the cat who carries the soul of one of the main characters (it’s that kind of webcomic) serves a similar purpose. Even had a merch-driven t-shirt along those lines.
