Nothing against Peter, but I find it highly unlikely that a 17 year-old girl would be so aggressively flirting with a 30-something guy, no matter how attractive he may be.

EL: No, Cherenkov radiation occurs when a charged particle passes through a dielectric at a speed higher than the speed of light in that medium. For instance, nuclear reactors often seem to be bathing in blue light. This is due to cherenkov radiation.
What Akheloios describes is simply induced radioactivity.

@Akheloios: Isn't that what is known as Cherenkov radiation? I was thinking about that too.

Actually, if it's a Neutron source, surrounding material can become radioactive if free Neutrons bond in a collison with other elements, which then become unstable.

While I figured that this was an unaired ealier episode, it was nice to have that confirmed and know that they weren't dumb enough to think that they could put a dead man back on the show. It was really distracting to have Charlie back.

Having darted animals myself, I too am not a proponent of the instantaneous dart. And I kept wondering if they used Fentanyl. . .

I would like a link to any sort of write up on the case where somebody survived that much radiation that you mentioned. You wouldn't happen to have one would you?

This episode had me worried about the Doomsday clock. What a relief that you gave it a pass!

It was also a relief that the show didn't start with a horrible, exotic death. Instead, we got a mundane death followed by an exotic resurrection. Hooray for variety! And hooray that the girl gets to stay alive even after the murderous spirit left her. Though it doesn't make a lot of sense...
