Maxwell Lord is back, and he’s here with one of the biggest psychic nosebleeds ever. Really, what more can I say (except that I’m glad I’m not cleaning up the mess)?

  1. And I see he’s carried out the same crime that Wally West and Hal Jordan should be hauled into court for.

  2. Wow. You might as well retire the feature with that one.

  3. Did he put in an IV first?

    Way to lampshade it guys!

  4. Haha, oh my god. I am just appalled and I’m not even sure why. Maybe because I had an explosive nosebleed myself last night, but not because I was trying to mind control anyone (honest).

  5. Wow. Nose AND eyes. Or did the eyes just get spatter from the nose? And I’m assuming the mouth is NOT bleeding, but that’s by no means a sure thing, I guess. And if all soft tissues are susceptible to psychic nosebleed, then that means Max needs to change his pants. ACtually, that almost makes more sense if … sorry, I’ll stop now.

I’ll just mention that I HATE the Max Lord, Villain characterization. And I really was hoping his death had ended the farce. But no …

  6. Did he put in an IV first?

He did! A few panels before, he was talking about how he’d gotten the IV equipment and blood to make sure he could get through this.

(And what was “this”? Pushing his mental powers to erase the memory of himself from every mind on Earth. Presumably so he can continue his KILL ALL METAHUMANS plots.)

  7. Now how did he destroy every hardcopy edition of every newspaper, magazine, newsletter, etc. that ever reported on any of his activities? If he had an anti-Oracle on his payroll, that would cover the Internet. But all that surviving hardcopy in every language in use during his lifetime?

Forget it. The amnesia’s not going to last very long.

  8. Oh, and I forgot the CDs, DVDs and videotape archives off the net. Around the world, people.

  9. Back in the original Sentry miniseries, the worldwide brainwashing got around the hardcopy issue by saying all that stuff was still there, but people just ignored them as part of the brainwashing.

  10. So how long before people remember all that stuff re: the Sentry now that he’s supposedly dead?

I know: forever plus one day. No way is Marvel going to rework the whole continuity like that.
