This is what I love about the comics-weblog-osphere (er, ok guys we need a name for that isn’t so … well dumb, or so long), but what I love about this thingamajig: Between this and Remixes on PopCultureShock and reviews on the X-Axis or Cognitive Dissonance — I can keep track of what’s going on in books I’d never bother to read and be entertained without investing a lot of time, money or frustration in the effort of wringing out whatever tiny smidgeon of amusement or edification (not to mention plot or characterisation) the original work had for myself.
Not to sound lazy or stingy. If you write the next ‘War and Peace’ or even the next ‘Mything Persons’ I can read it for myself, but if your characterisation or plot can be adequately summarised as ‘Bitch Crazy’ or ‘Remember that episode where…?’ then I don’t think I’m cheating myself too much settling for the secondhand condensed version.
