So I checked with a dictionary and came up with the following definition for “domino”…
1 a (1) : a long loose hooded cloak usually worn with a half mask as a masquerade costume (2) : a half mask worn over the eyes with a masquerade costume b : a person wearing a domino

You’re right, it doesn’t really seem to apply to Batgirl.

Well, sure, but Batgirl doesn’t wear one! I was under the impression that masks like Robin, The Spirit, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and Green Arrow wear were “domino” masks…

Pinioned Paladin is good, but having Sandman (Wes Dodd, not Morpheus) being referred to as the Grainy Gladiator is better… It was 1970’s, too. The fun didn’t end with the Golden Age. Although I do miss the days when Hawkman taught the JSA to speak to birds….

If you promise not to tell anybody, I used to privately refer to Blue Devil as the “Azure Acrobat,” even though he was a stuntman, not an acrobat, and he was more of a light blue than a purplish-blue. Hmmm…in retrospect, not really a good nickname, I suppose.
