   If Hector Hall is second generation, how is his son of the same generation? ;)

   Also, Ant-man’s daughter in Young Avengers, Connor Hawke (son of Green Arrow).

   And does Nocturne count?

   Or Nightcrawler himself, if Mystique can be counted as a hero.

   Isn’t X-23 Wolverine’s daughter? I don’t read X-Men, so I’m not sure.

   Captain Marvel (Genis) is son of Captain Mar-Vell.

   Black Canary II is daughter of Black Canary I.

   I don’t have any issues of Astro City for reference, but the Furst Family consists of parents and offspring.

    X-23 is a female clone of Wolverine – apparently the genetic material the Evil Scientists had was damaged, but they solved their problem by doubling the X-chromosome instead of having and X and a Y.
    The miniseries is full of fun medicine.

    Bruce Wayne is the son of Thomas Wayne, Kal-El of Krypton is the son of Jor-El, Clark Kent is the some of Jonathan Kent, Aquaman is the son of Atlantean wizard Atlan and the adopted son of light-house keeper Arthur Curry. Wally West (The Flash) is the son of former Manhunter agent Rudolph West (although Wally wishes he weren’t)

    I know a lot of those weren’t “second generation” but in the case of Superman and Batman, I think it is always good to remind ourselves where they came from :)

    You forgot that Hector Hall/Dr. Fate’s body is the biological son of both Hank Hall/Hawk and Dawn Grainger/Dove (who was cloaked by magic and everyone thought was Lyta Hall). And Golden Eagle/Charley Parker has just revealed himself as son of Carter Hall. And Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl is the reincarnation of Shiera Saunders Hall, wife of Carter Hall, and mother of Hector, while Kendra is Hector’s cousin.

    Confused? Me too.
