Happy Bastille Day!

In honor of Bastille Day, here’s the cover to Justice League Europe #6 — the funniest comic ever to take place in France.
Captain Atom has decided that in order to better connect with their host country, the members of the JLE need to learn French. Therefore, he signs everybody up for a night class in French. Meanwhile, Major Disaster has decided that his Injustice League need to learn French as well, and unwittingly signs them up for the same class.
With the combination of Captain Atom, Guy Gardner, Flash, Power Girl, Metamorpho, Major Disaster, Cluemaster, the Mighty Bruce, Big Sir, Multi-Man and Clock King — plus an extrememly strict French teacher — how could this not be fun?

One of my favorite comics of all time!
“You want Big Sir to put gum on his nose?”

The gum scene was definitely hilarious. I also liked when the Injustice League got caught passing a note and had to read it in front of the class.

I have to agree that Justice League Europe #6 is one of my favorite of the run! Other favorites are when Karas’s cat get’s kidnapped, and when the Beefeater implodes the embassy. I am not good at recalling issue numbers, so i will just send out a bwah-hah-hah and call it good.
You have excellent taste, Dr. Scott!

The issue when Powergirl’s cat was kidnapped was another favorite, kind of a comic book version of “The Ransom of Red Chief.”
I was a big fan of JLE, not just the humor, but also the story and the action. The Metamorpho/Stagg stories were great and the “Extremist Agenda” five part series that introduced the Extremists remains one of my favorite comic book storylines of all time.
